Volunteer for Awana 2017-18

September 6th, 2017

What is Awana?

Awana seeks to teach and disciple children through memorizing Scripture, building relationships with godly role models (that's you!) and learning age-appropriate Bible lessons that lead to life changes. Volunteers in Awana are part of a team that consciously works to demonstrate to the children the best that walking with Christ has to offer. Most volunteers will closely interact with the children each week, but there are also important roles that do not. Finally, it is our desire to serve the volunteers by providing a supportive environment in which they can serve the Lord and grow in their walk with Him.

How to Register

Awana Child Registration 2017-18

September 6th, 2017

Welcome to Awana at Countryside!

We're excited to spend this year teaching your child about Christ and how to live the Christian life. The Awana program encourages spiritual growth through age-appropriate study and memorization of Scripture. The program is most successful with the active support of you, the parent or guardian. We need your participation each week at home -- helping and encouraging your child to learn the verses, discussing what they mean, and showing how to apply them in life.

All Awana participants need a uniform and program handbook. There are also optional materials like music CDs. You will select the materials your child needs (shirt size, Bible translation, etc.) during the registration. We ask that you pay for the uniform and handbook for your child.*

Participant enrollment has five parts:

  1. Log into the system (start by clicking "Register Now" to the right) using your email address. If your child's name does not appear, check the box to register "Someone Else." You will receive an email with a link to log in and register your children. If this is your first time registering for an event at Countryside, you'll be asked to enter contact information and medical needs as you register.

  2. Select all the children who will be participating, click "Next" at the bottom of the page, then select the age group for each of your children.

  3. For each child, verify the biographical and medical information, then select the books, translations, uniform sizes, and optional items you would like.

  4. From the confirmation page, download the medical release. Fill out one copy for each child.

  5. On the first night of Awana, bring your completed medical form(s) and payment with you.

If financial concerns would keep your child from participating, please talk to us. We can help.
